Although we use XML in the message design, the same can be used in JSON or other formats. See how we support your format.

XSD syntax restrictions

To be able to use different formats, we restrict the features of XML-Schemas we use to describe the messages to gain portability.

• Rejecting XML/Schema mistakes.
• Namespaces, versions and prefixes.
• Schema design choices (substitutionGroups etc)
• Naming conventions.

Schemas, work in progress

The schemas, and the documentation about all its parts, are developed in our public Git repository (TODO: to be publised soon) where they can be discussed.

Each schema element has a managed life-cycle: versioning, introduction, changes, deprecation and removal are not only documented in a standard way, but also reported from automated processes to their human maintainers.
