Namespaces group b:units, like directories do for files on a harddisk. Namespace are really important to keep the Units from different sources organized.

For the real smart behavior, see c:collection which implements replication, mirroring, and such features on an conceptual level.

Schema components

b:namespace

Units belong to a Namespace. The namespace may have structure, and may have a complex life-cycle.

b:prefix

Declares additional prefixes used in the context.

b:shard

Defines a b:storage back-end for a sub-set of the Units.

b:store

The store describes how the b:storage will be used.

b:subspace

Explains which Namespace Unit describes a sub-set of the top-level Namespace.
